It's All Greek
The August 2025 "Around the World" design features Ancient Greece!
Let’s go back in time to a place where many pillars of modern Western civilization began! The Ancient Greeks were responsible for several advancements in philosophy, technology, and social constructs. Ancient Greece is where democracy, the Olympic sports, and advanced mathematics all began. This art block features replica Corinthian helmets, The Discobolus statue depicting an athlete throwing a discus, and one of the oldest Greek symbols in the center: The Vergina Sun. The large structures are pillars constructed in the style of the Ionic order, one of three distinct orders in ancient Greek architecture. This style of architecture was later adopted by the Romans, and is currently used in Neoclassical architecture throughout Europe.
