This project teaches an essential technique: Trapunto in embroidery! Traditionally, trapunto would require the quilter to slit the back of the quilt and stuff filling in to the block. Nowadays, embroidery machines have allowed for innovative ways to make traditional techniques much easier. What you make with your Trapunto Mandala is up to you! Quilt blocks, pillows, book covers, or trivets are a few ideas to start with. The files here are 9.5 inches square, or 8 inches square.
