Dia De Los Muertos

The October 2025 "Around the World" design features Dia De Los Muertos in Mexico!
 
Celebrate the life and memories of your ancestors, family, and friends who have passed. Dia De Los Muertos is a Mexican Fiesta that teaches us to honor our beloved lost with joyous observance, remembering their life and presenting offerings of food, drink, and favorite things. The brilliant orange petals of marigold flowers attract the spirits to the Ofrenda “or altar offering”. Guitars and trumpets play cheerful music. The Calavera or “sugar skull” is a widely recognized symbol of this holiday, either made for decoration or made as a treat (or both!). Blankets are laid out among the grave stones in a sort of picnic fashion, and strings of bright paper banners decorate the city streets.
