Chinese New Year

$10.00Price

Start your trip around the world with Joe by celebrating the Chinese New Year! This year, the Chinese New Year is held on January 29th, 2025. We are leaving the Year of the Dragon and entering the Year of the Snake. There’s a lot of symbolism in this design: The color red is used to ward off the mythical beast “Nian”, the blossoming cherry tree symbolizes the start of Spring, and the Chinese characters on the banner are often used to represent the new year, directly translated they mean “Spring Festival.” The silhouette of the pagoda is a tribute to Chinese culture. The night sky is illuminated by the full moon, which marks the end of the lunar cycle and the “Lantern Festival” that is held on the full moon at the end of the new year celebration period.
